CEO of the Household
I don’t know about you, but on any given day I hold at least 5 of these titles. Just how do we moms do it all? And every day at that! This blog is not a place where I will share my perfect life with you and tell you how I have it all figured out. Quite the opposite! My desire is to share with you the ups & downs of my journey, the struggles I have had, and the lessons I have learned, in hopes of helping you find a way to balance homeschooling with all the many things we moms do on a daily basis without losing our minds!
Welcome. My name is Heather and I am so excited that you have stopped by my blog. My family of 3 live in Washington State. On a typical weekend, you can find us hanging out playing video games or binge-watching our newest favorite show. I met my husband, James, the summer before our sophomore year of High School. After our senior year we broke up and I moved with my family to the other side of the United States. It didn’t take him long to realize what a mistake he had made. I moved back and we have now been married for almost 20 years!! We have one daughter, Isabelle, who is 14 years old and is an amazing artist.
We started our homeschool adventure in 2012 when Isabelle was going to the 4th grade. It doesn’t seem possible, but we are now on our 6th year of homeschooling.
Prior to starting homeschooling, I ran a successful photography business for over 10 years. I’ve also worked with 2 different MLM companies and now work as a part-time assistant. Over the last several years I’ve had to juggle homeschooling, work, and home-life – some days more successfully than others. Along the way I have learned many “do’s and dont’s” to running a business and keeping a happy home. Although more often than not it is “Do as I say, and not as I do”…but hey I’m still learning too.
Last tidbits about me – I’m an Instagram addict, I love graphic design, being crafty, painting my nails, COFFEE, and a huge Disciple Rocks fan!
I hope that this blog will be a place for you to find ideas, relax, and make new friends. Lastly, never miss a blog post by becoming an email subscriber, and please connect with me on facebook, pinterest, or instagram
